Salient.H.O provide access to enhanced, unhindered and equitable WASH services to Vulnerable IDPs and host communities in MMC/JERE in Borno State.
Borno State is largely affected by insurgency and has left the crises-affected people in need of access to timely and appropriate WASH assistance.

The protracted crisis in the North East of Nigeria has caused unprecedented consequences on men, women, boys and girls across sectors. The continued insurgency has disrupted livelihoods, broken-down basic infrastructures and services.
In addition, sporadic attacks and military operations have forcefully displaced population from their homes to safer places in search of a better living condition; of this number, women and girls are the most vulnerable. Flooding and fierce winds and sand storms caused substantial damage to WASH infrastructures which affected at least 20 per cent of IDPs living in camps in Borno state new arrivals from hard-to-reach areas, especially women and children, are also in urgent need of WASH support. They include at least 100,000 children.
